Hi everyone!

A decoration community that I used to read had a "Show me your.." feature, where one person would throw out something that they needed ideas for, and other people would post pictures of that space/item. Sort of like the uncluttered workspace feature on this blog, but more community oriented :)

Is anyone interested in doing that here? It would be a great way to show off what we each accomplished, and get some (visual) ideas from other members. I'd totally welcome photos of spaces that people are having trouble with to offer advice on...

Anyone interested?

this is the room i am preparing to tackle

i have been preparing for a week now.

it's such a jumble because it's my 'SAFE' area.
it's the only place with a door that latches keeping out the cats.

What started as my workshop and bindery slowly accumulated everything i want to keep safe: all my camera equipment, my sewing machine and all that entails, my bike tools, i think there is a camping tent in there somewhere, and a new load of professional video equipment.

What i WANT to happens is that the binding equipment come OUT which means the benches and book press and all the stuff in the closet and drawers.
then my computers, the desk and work table go IN.
and then the camera equipment goes back in
and hopefully the sewing equipment into the closet.

the tent can go in the garage, i was just hanging it to get the smell out of it...and you know that worked awesome.

i think i need to stare at the room a little longer.

LOL! I know about keeping out cats! I wish my cluttered areas were that neat, Eraser Girl! I should take a photo of the room I'm sitting in, but I would be embarrassed. Put it into perspective. It doesn't look that bad! What you need is a young man with a strong back to help you move those items around.

I'm glad people like this idea! I don't think the forum can support photo uploads (yet?) but we can certainly link to our photos on Flikr or other sites.

I certainly know about keeping out cats too! In my case, its two kittens and all their craziness :)

Erasergirl, that looks like its going to be the "fun" room! My friend called my "study" that - It has my bookcases, all my sewing and craft supplies, my dress form and my and my husband's desks and computers. It looks like you have a big job ahead of you but I think it'll be amazing when you finish!

Yes, I moved it to face a window, and in the process it became kind of crazy and cluttered. As soon as I am done with my last final tomorrow (I am in law school) I will CLEAN UP THIS MESS! (And post more pictures of my "uncluttered" areas!)

Me too - gracious, my desk should be so lucky! :)

Good luck with the room clean,. EraserGirl! You have a vision for what you want it's function to be, and that's a huge part of the battle. Make sure you post "after" pics too! :)

I got my bathroom done today! Yeah! Put a Japanese vase and an orchid spray on the windowsill. It's a tiny bathroom and now all I have out is the vase/orchid and the box of kleenex. Well, towels, too. Am psyched. And thanks to the inspiration of reading unclutterer every day.

Thanks. I couldn't have done it without this site. My husband likes the way the house is transforming itself, a bit at a time.

I am helping my parents organize their garage and thought I'd take before and after pictures (when I finish).

These arn't 100% before pictures; that nice pile of boxes used to be spread all over the place. I can't believe I'm bored enough this winter break to dig into this mess. ._. I havn't even touched the work (Ha!) bench, but spent half of the day organizing the other side into piles. So far I have paint, gardening, dump, and recycle piles. I really can't wait until it's done!
