This is something I've stolen from a british forum I'm on.
Each week/day list what has left your house and what will come in. Nice and immediate motivation.
Me, today:
OUT: Uni notes to the recyc bin (BIG moment)
Pending: Large bag of clothes for the charity shop and some old nick-nacks
IN: Nothing so far!
Great idea! Several heavy bags of magazines are going to the library today for redistribution.
Today:
Out: Baby changing table. eBay buyer should be here in an hour or so :)
Pending: 2 carrier bags of old underwear and socks waiting to go for textile recycling
In: A parcel of work-related stuff - new rental book and some disposable plastic covers for special cushions that I hire out to women who need them after childbirth. These are not clutter, but the padded envelope they arrived in is. I have a small cupboard full of these and must get them on Freecycle. Also a theatre brochure that I will hang on to for a few days till I have booked the tickets.

This weekend:
Out: auto air fresheners, magazines, flashlight, pocket knife, small decorations, cassette tape, cel phone case, address rolodex, old office supplies, part of a child's Halloween costume, old gift wrap, two plastic clothes hangers and I'm giving my sister a Home Interior picture for her kitchen.
It sounds like more than it is. All of it fit in one garbage bag.
In: Nothing
Out: a set of dishes that my mom gave me after my ex-husband and I split (he kept the marital set, and I left and established a new household). I've since replaced those dishes, little by little, with pieces that are more my style.
In: the 2010 insert for my paper notebook calendar arrived.
Pending: there is one small sack of donation items hanging on the back door. It's probably about time that my daughter and I go through her closet and dresser again, to get rid of stuff she's outgrown and to see what she'll be needing for spring and summer wear.
Out: Huge bag of clothing, computer monitor, curtain rods and several tubes of warpping paper. The closet now has a box with clothes I am "nearly" into, but none of the "dream ON!" category.
In: Some rubber stamps from the Goodwill that will fit into the storage space reserved for stamps.
Pending: several books to Half-Price books for cash (I hope)

OUT: 3 makeup train cases full of mineral eyecolor, blushes and brushes (to a friend and her mom and sister). I will admit this was a little hard (didn't let her know) but it NEEDED to happen. I am becoming a hoarder in that area. Also listed some for sale on a makeup message board I belong to.
IN: A new totebag (oops, not good!), Christmas wrapping paper for next year (on sale, has a designated storage space), new jeans (needed and on sale).
Except for the tote bag I did pretty well this week!
Out - 3 Boxes of client files - returned to the client because we are no longer working for them
In - not really my doing - a new energy efficient window for my office, shelves installed in my hall closet, and my old entertainment center converted into a bookcase by my handy dandy contractor! New storage galore!
Pending - year end client files to be delivered or mailed, put MY files into storage in the garage (my work always gets done last this time of year!)
Out - My old karate belts from high school (not sure why I was holding onto them in the first place). Old college papers, some magazines.
In - 2 CDs and a book.
Pending - some books I need to go through, and about 30 CDs that I listed on eBay. Also, bag of clothes/miscellaneous items to go to Goodwill!

OUT: I've written in other forums about the 33 items that went out last night...all small stuff other than two framed Asian silks my mother had me frame and then gifted to me. They are gone to a new home! (I never liked them, not my style at all.) I also gave a book as a gift to a friend today, bought specifically for him, so I brought it in on Saturday and it went out today.
IN: Only consumable groceries!
PENDING: I have four or five items to list on eBay...and will do it sometime this week.
I, too, would like to know how to post photos on this site.
Thanks to all of you who have subscribed or read my personal blog about getting rid of half of what I own, I am thinking about my next article that I will post this week. (http://drawerbydrawer.wordpress.com/) I have eliminated 251 items since December 16th from my one bedroom condo and storage! Woo hoo!
OUT: Old box files belonging to my OH. They seem to encourage mega-huge silverfish into the flat; I guess the old glue is tasty. Hope they haven't evolved to like plastic.
IN: A large tub (only size I could find) of diatomaceous earth for the silverfish.

Out: Bag of trash.
In: Some tiramisu for dessert. Am I really the only person on the forum who bought food today?

Vivace, this is about non-consumables, i.e. stuff. You're allowed food. :D
out: 4 old bean bags, 6 old cushions, 4 pairs of outgrown shoes, 2 ratty fake Christmas trees, pile of old shop fittings (DH brought them home from work -thanks for that), 2 irons (one back to the store to be replaced under warranty), bag of clothes, 5 empty boxes, old tins of paint, broken kids plastic wheelbarrow and scooter, bag of clothes.
in: new iron, pool filter and chemicals (already used), school supplies.
Out: 2 magazines I put in the lounge at work, threw away an old toothbrush, and gave a pretty candle holder to a friend
In: a small notebook to organize my passwords
OUT: my Dad's old sketch books (bin): some unwanted luggage (freecycle): old unwatched video tapes of TV progs (bin), prerecorded videos (in car awaiting charity shop run) one urine soaked pillow (I am using uo all the second hand pillows in my loft while night training my son)
IN: nothing (I think)
OUT: another bag of books and games to the charity shop, one bag of trash and one bag of recycling into the green bin.
IN: groceries from the chinese supermarket, a card for chinese new year for our neighbours, led lights for laptop working (most evenings) and a pair of new green flat shoes in the sale (oops)
Out:
- 2 large boxes to the thrift store (Christmas excess, kids outgrown clothes and DH's old jackets)
- 3 bags of DVD covers are sitting the door for later today - going to a friend whose hubby burns discs on his computer. I have put all of our family's dvds into CD organizing books.
