I happenend upon this site by accident and glad I found it. I'm an "ex-clutterer" who now is seeking to live as simply as possible and with only the things I need and will make me happy.
At one time, I felt that more was better and eventually amassed a huge CD collection, books, knick nacks, and you name it. Over the last two years I have been paring my possessions down, selling, donating and tossing. I recently bought an Ipod and intend to burn my CD collection onto that and donate the discs. I will say that downsizing and decluttering has literally made me feel physically better and mentally free. I'm toying with the possibility of going to Kindle, but that will be awhile. I still enjoy the feel of an old-fashioned book, though.
People at work think I'm nuts for being so neat and not having much in my cubicle. I have found that I function better this way and am actually more productive.
It's also great to know that I am in like company and don't feel like an oddball that my mother and co-workers jokingly make me out to be, lol.
Thanks!
Gil
