Since we started this, I've been working outside fixing the ugly in my garden. It was strictly mental clutter purging.

We disconnected the VCR today, (we never used it) because we had to get a cable box. There is limited room and something had to go. Seven of the remaining tapes will go to charity plus the VCR, 4 tapes were trashed.

It rained today so I stayed in and found these things to declutter: 3 unused greeting cards, 2 bed sheets, 7 coasters, a sun catcher with a crack, 6 horse brass and all my old flower seed packets.

Going through the bathroom I found unused shower curtain rings, roller-massager thing I don't remember buying, 2 old razors, old make-up, old toothpaste. They all went out in the trash.

I don't think I can keep up with y'all, but I did toss the dog's medicine that expired two years ago.

    GIANT jewelry case is GONE!
It looked a little strange with 3 rings, 2 bracelets, 5 necklaces and a dozen earrings in it (de-cluttered jewelry last year!) Didn't want to be tempted to buy more jewelry to refill the case.

I got rid of a window fan that stopped working, and I also got rid of a box from a window fan that has been in the closet for years. I assumed there was a fan in it. No fan. Just a bunch of fan related things from over the years. Pays to look in those boxes, right?

I'm getting ready to move next week so have been doing some steady decluttering for some time, but my decluttering for today is those small plastic baskets that have snuck into my home somehow over time. Out they go!

Hello. I just found this site the other day. It seems to be a useful helpful supportive tool to help in the fight to declutter:) and so here's my first post:

    1. Set up a donation box into or near to which I placed for give away: a. dress; b. 2 old printers; c. glass cup; d. book; e. old headset
    2. Threw away: a. some old ice from the freezer; b. 2 small take out containers of chile hot sauce; c. old gift bag; d. some dust; e. old food from refrigerator; f. twist ties; g. make up samples; h. old fax machine
    3. Recycling: set up a recycle box and put newspapers in it and collected plastic bags to recycle

Karen: it´s ok to miss some days, no pressure !
    Sunny1: you´re welcome !

I haven´t reported since a few days, but I did keep up with the uncluttering.
Gone: 3 DVDs, 1 gardening book, salt & pepper shakers that I haven´t managed to sell, and a bunch of Reader´s Digests.

I just discovered this thread! Today I threw out all of my holey, mismatched or otherwise dingy socks, a few broken clothes hangers and some ring binders that have been sitting empty for a while.

Yesterday I recycled all of my university paper notes (finished my exams and graduating next month) except for few things I still need.

It kind of reminded me of finishing high school, when me and a couple of friends made a bonfire with our notes. Great fun and very liberating :).

I also just found this. Sounds like a great way to keep up with getting rid of things.

Today I am throwing away some old dried kidney beans that have seen more flavorful days.

A corduroy jumper, size 4T, that went to our toddler neighbor.
Two ratty t-shirts - how many cleaning-the-bathroom, scrubbing-the-bbq do you need?
DD gave me a dress and a pair of socks to give away.

A computer monitor and tower $30.00 on eBay. It is nice to know that I have only thrown away 24 of the 142 items I have decluttered this year.

Ok, so I am at least looking for answers. My first day posting. I see a lot of people taking action, soooo, I will discard one piece of trash, in the trash can, per day; from my bedroom.

Today my husband tossed about half of his CDs! I've found a big box full of stuff to donate this week and he decided to add to it. :)
