Put 2 kitchen trash bags in the bin. Some of it was regular trash, but again, it got out sooner than usual and decluttered some old mail. Decluttered obligation by transferring funds. Looking at wireless alternatives to declutter aggravation. Decluttered various and sundry receipts by turning them in for merchandise (special promotion) - oh uh, more things in - must release 6 things for the 3 things just brought in. Decluttered books - sold 3 - transferred them to buyer. Gave away blueberry green tea wheat grass sour cream pound cake as well as more seeds.

Commit for the day: Another bag of clutter to the bin and paperwork. Organize daily planner. Go to class.

Finished and put in the bin the one kitchen trash bag. Some of it was regular household trash, but hey, it's out of the house early and in the bin :) Tried to mail the gift but both the post offices I stopped at had long lines. Did unclutter an insurance payment. [It's going up real high now - they say because of Obamacare :( ] Uncluttered some required reading. Decluttered the mailing of late Christmas cards. Returned a book and looks like I've a buyer for the books I am selling. Gave away fruit and seeds.

I was the 21st poster on this thread and today only a handful of the first 20 are actively posting frequently somewhere on the unclutterer site (although at least one posts regularly on her own great reading blog on decluttering). Eight months ago when this thread was started I committed to releasing at least one thing a day for a year on the ATAD thread. It definitely was difficult in the beginning but as I went along it got progressively and exponentially easier to do, although still far from effortless. But every day (with few exceptions that I would make up for by extra uncluttering the next day or the day before) I released at least one item and faithfully posted here. And the daily search to release one item usually led to more than one thing, sometimes much much more than one item. People came, people went; but like the postman I posted daily through hail, rain, sleet, wind, snow, floods, storms, fires, earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, locust, lemmings (you know, all those sorts of natural disasters that the legal profession calls "Acts of God" when they excuse provision of service where an AOG makes their doing impossible).

Commit for the day: Another kitchen bag of trash to the bin. Paperwork!

Reorganized my china cabinet this morning:
several cups/saucers that my sis has given me since she is a collector (i am not). I kept a few that I actually do love, but the rest are out. Several old vases from my pie safe. a few candles I haven't used in over 2 years. some older platters of my Moms that I had kept, but still have some that I DO use. my dilemna is I have several large family gatherings a year that I need candles/holders/vases/centerpieces for so I have kept all that stuff. Now I have gone thru and gotten rid of the ones I chose not to use that last year or so. I still have enough left for 3 tables. Gosh, this feels great. some glass beads/pebbles for the bottom of vases that I only used once in 4 years. several old votives- got a new stash at christmas this year as a present.
a few pottery pieces that my Mom had given me over the years that i used very seldom.
oops i put this in the old thread....

Finished writng the card and packaging a gift for my friend overseas who had an operation. Didn't get to the books but that's next. Didn't do the paperwork :( Did do another full kitchen trash bag of stuff which is already placed in the bin :)

Commit for today: Package the books. Paperwork! And another full kitchen trash bag of stuff. Put loose papers into a box. Finish up clearing the area I decluttered most of the other day.

Tossed: Two old cookie sheets
7 sad and bedraggled poinsettia plants
2 very dry Christmas trees

Organized: One large kitchen drawer. Looks so neat now.

Next week - on to the Christmas de-decoration! Hopefully, I will be able to toss some old, unsentimental decorations! Our collection of Nutcrackers and the 30 Lenox Christmas plates really make anything else kind of unnecessary. LOL I hate and love the after-Christmas decoration period...it is sad because another Christmas is over, but it is the perfect time to re-evaluate the household decor.

Finished the kitchen trash bag full of stuff to toss. Also tossed a bag of regular trash. Recycled couple more cut boxes. Put some clothing in the donate bag.

Thought about time decluttering and conscious eating (thinking about is a step in the process right?) Well, did order a veg dish. Found the books for my friend and need to write the card. I opened a cubbyhole and found what must be every single pair of glasses I ever had (okay, maybe not, but had lots) and put some other glasses with them waiting to sort out what to keep and what to donate.

Commit for today: Write the card and package the books. Paperwork! And another full kitchen trash bag of stuff.

Had a good work out and filled a bin for a total of 1 1/2 bins again this week. A lot of it is stuff I would consider to be regular household tosserables, but I normally wouldn't have done sooooo much, so I am counting it toward decluttering.

Recycle: about 6 cardboard boxes of various sizes and in various conditions.

May have decluttered a large percentage of my day to day clothing because I forgot it was in the wash and left it in the machine for a while. I re-washed and added a lot of febreeze (the best) so am hoping there will be no unfortuitous unplanned decluttering:O

Commit for today: another go round of the home and yard and garage - at least a kitchen trash bag full. Commit to time decluttering and conscious eating:) Also commit to writing to friend who had an operation and sending him a couple of books :/
